We can advise on the grounds available to commence court proceedings for dissolution of a civil partnership when regrettably the relationship has broken down irretrievably and can advise on the grounds available to commence dissolution proceedings and the costs that will be involved.

Alternatively, if you have been served with an application for dissolution of your civil partnership, we can provide advice in relation to completion of the court papers and any implications on allowing proceedings to continue undefended or, if necessary, advise on defending the same.

Whilst applications for dissolution of a civil partnership is a court based process, it rarely involves personal attendance at Court.

    Heather qualified as a Solicitor in 2011 and has specialised in family and matrimonial law throughout her career. She joined Dootsons in 2020 having previously headed a family department at a firm in Cheshire.

    An accredited member of the Law Society’s Family Law Panel,  the accreditation is a recognised quality standard for family law practitioners who must be able to show that you have a high level of competence and knowledge in family law.

    Heather is also a member of Resolution, a national organisation of 6500 family lawyers who believe in a constructive, non-confrontational approach to Family Law matters.
